Ah, the ubiquitous apple dumpling. A staple of faire, I would
argue. Preparing the apple well will lend its flesh a succulent, yielding
flesh. A bad apple will be horrible and mushy and leave you questioning your
life choices. Thankfully, I haven’t yet had a bad apple at faire. The apple is
wrapped in fried pastry and drizzled very generously with caramel sauce. Topped
off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, this treat is sure to satisfy your sweet
tooth. It’s big enough to share but honestly, why would you?
